Marina Village is the destination to go for food, drink, shopping and unwinding away from the frenetic attractions of the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island.
While many travelers might be more interested in Aquaventure and Cabbage Beach, the Atlantis Marina Village is another one of the sprawling resort’s many highlights. With shopping, food and beverage, and sightseeing options galore, the marina is an area of Atlantis Nassau you won’t want to pass up on.
The Atlantis Marina Village is part of the Atlantis Resort Bahamas
While many of the travelers walking around the Atlantis Marina Village stay at the Atlantis Nassau, you don’t need to be a hotel guest to visit the area. Whether you’re at another hotel on Paradise Island or are just visiting Nassau for the day, you can visit the Atlantis Marina.
Whether you’re on New Providence or Paradise Island, taking a cab is most likely the easiest way to get to the village. If you’re staying at the Atlantis Nassau, then walking is of course an option as well.
While you can visit the area for shopping and dining from 9 am to 9 pm most days of the week, try to be there in the evening on Tuesday or Saturday. Junkanoo Rush takes place on those days at 9 pm, giving you a taste of the authentic Bahamian culture!
Stalls like Junkanoo ‘N’ Tings offer affordable gifts and souvenirs
The marina village is on Paradise Island and is close to the other attractions that make up the sprawling Atlantis Resort Bahamas. From Aquaventure to the Atlantis Casino, you can easily spend a day exploring all that Atlantis has to offer if you’re not staying there.
Paradise Island also has one of the most beautiful beaches in the Nassau area: Cabbage Beach. With clear, turquoise water, snow-white sand, and palm trees lining the beach, the 2-mile stretch of sand is well worth a visit.
The Atlantis Marina Village offers many fun activities that can easily fill up an afternoon. From browsing around the many shops to grabbing a familiar or unfamiliar bite to eat, there’s plenty to do in the area.
Regardless of what your budget looks like, you can find plenty of shopping opportunities in the Atlantis Marina Village.
Crystal Courts Shops is close to Marina Village Atlantis and offers luxury shopping opportunities
If you’re not afraid to spend some money, stores like Calypso Carousel and A La Plage are great options for buying upscale and fashionable clothing. In a similar vein, Dooney & Bourke can accommodate all of your leather needs, while Kay’s Fine Jewelry and other jewelers offer rings, bracelets, necklaces, and more. Past the village in Crystal Courts Shops, you can find luxury retailers like Cartier and Gucci.
Those looking to be a bit more frugal should visit Tortuga Rum Cakes (which offers free samples) and My Ocean for handmade products. There are also several stalls to check out!
As mentioned, Marina Village Atlantis is also a great place to find a meal.
Travelers looking for something familiar can head to Quizno’s, Starbucks, or Ben & Jerry’s. Pirate Republic is also a good option, with a menu featuring wings, pretzels, barbeques, and excellent drinks.
Atlantis Marina Village is home to a number of bars and pubs where visitors can enjoy locally brewed beers and ales.
If you’re looking to expand your culinary horizons, consider eating at Bimini Road. The Bahamian-inspired restaurant serves up everything from Bahamian lobster and island jerk chicken to conch salad.
If you’re not looking to spend any money, that’s also possible at the Atlantis Marina Village. The area houses some of the biggest yachts and boats in the Bahamas. When you visit the village, you’ll find plenty of benches to sit and admire the view.
Admiring the boats in the harbor is free and a lot of fun!
In addition to megayachts, the Atlantis Marina Village also offers visitors a taste of Junkanoo, the Caribbean festival that dates back to the days of slavery. These lively performances offer a glimpse into the richness of the local island culture.
With all sorts of shops and restaurants, the Atlantis Marina is full of fun establishments
The Atlantis Marina Village is a great place to spend a couple of hours. Whether you pop into a boutique for some beachwear or just grab an ice-cream cone from Ben & Jerry’s, a visit to the village is worthwhile and puts you in prime position to enjoy the rest of the Atlantis resort Bahamas.
